How we are helping

Our Support Hub is a first-of-its-kind solution enabling people with a disability in the UK to share their support needs with multiple organisations quickly and efficiently.

The challenge

Many service providers, like banks and utilities, offer additional support for consumers who have disclosed their accessibility support needs.

But the process of contacting multiple providers to explain their support needs can be daunting and time-consuming for consumers.

• Only 19% have managed to request the support they need.

 

Our solution

Support Hub aims to remove the frustration and anxiety people feel when contacting service providers to explain their support needs. And it enables organisations, including Experian clients, to enhance accessibility.

The one-stop portal allows people with support needs to tell multiple businesses how they want to be contacted and what support they require in a simple, standardised way – all in a matter of minutes. Users are in full control of the information they disclose to which organisations.

Consumers can use the Support Hub to share wide-ranging support needs, including those related to sigh, hearing, mental health, dementia, speech, stammering, neurodivergence, life events (such as bereavement, job loss or hospitalisation) or a change in financial situation.

 

Impact

  • More than 2,400 people have registered with Support Hub. 
  • 27 organisations have signed up to Support Hub to help them provide appropriate accessibility support to consumers.
